Terms of Service

1. What Neighborhood Hustle is
Neighborhood Hustle ("the Platform," "we," "us") is an online marketplace that connects customers with independent local service providers ("Providers"), either directly through this website or through independent door-to-door sales representatives ("Sales Reps"). We facilitate discovery, scheduling, and payment processing. We do not perform the services ourselves. Providers and Sales Reps are independent businesses and individuals, not our employees or agents.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Provider and Sales Rep accounts are subject to review and approval by us, and we may suspend or remove any account at our discretion, including for violations of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or poor conduct.
3. Bookings and payments
When you book a service, you authorize us (through our payment processor) to charge your payment method for the listed price at the time of booking. Prices are set by each Provider. The Platform retains a service fee from each transaction and remits the remainder to the Provider (and, where applicable, a commission to the Sales Rep who arranged the booking). All amounts are shown before you confirm a booking.
4. Cancellations and refunds
You may cancel an upcoming booking from your dashboard. Refunds for cancelled or unsatisfactory services are handled case by case; contact us and we will work with you and the Provider in good faith. Providers may also cancel a booking, in which case you will receive a full refund of amounts paid for that booking.
5. Provider and Sales Rep responsibilities
Providers are solely responsible for the quality, safety, legality, and completion of their services, for holding any required licenses and insurance, and for their own taxes. Sales Reps must represent services truthfully, only create bookings a customer has genuinely agreed to, and follow all applicable door-to-door sales and consumer-protection laws in their area, including honoring any legally required cooling-off periods.
6. Prohibited conduct
You may not use the Platform to break the law, misrepresent yourself or your services, contact users for purposes unrelated to bookings, attempt to move transactions off-platform to avoid fees, or interfere with the Platform's operation or security.
7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Platform is provided "as is." Because services are performed by independent Providers, we make no warranties about the quality, safety, or outcome of any service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of any booking or use of the Platform is limited to the amounts we received in fees for the booking giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
8. Privacy
We collect the information you provide (such as your name, email, phone, and service address) and booking activity in order to operate the Platform, and we share it with the Provider and, where applicable, the Sales Rep involved in your booking only as needed to deliver the service. We do not sell your personal information. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor and are never stored on our servers.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will post the updated Terms here with a new effective date, and continued use of the Platform after that date constitutes acceptance. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
